DECORATIVE RUST-LOOK FINISH Oxide

Venier Rust-Look Finish is a decorative water-based paint designed to recreate the authentic oxidized metal effect, delivering a rich, artistic, and highly decorative finish. This single-component, low-odor product offers easy application, fast drying, and excellent performance for both residential and commercial projects.

Ideal for walls, furniture, and decorative objects, this finish is applied using gentle tapping techniques to create a natural rust-like patina, closely resembling aged metal surfaces. Depending on the application method—round brush, sponge, or roller—a wide range of visual effects can be achieved, from subtle oxidation to bold, industrial textures.

In addition to its decorative appeal, this product provides anti-corrosive properties.
For exterior applications, once the Rust-Look Finish has dried, apply two coats of Venier Water-Based Clear Varnish (gloss or satin) to ensure long-lasting protection and durability.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Before application, ensure the surface is clean, dry, dust-free, and in good condition.
Do not apply on damp surfaces, glass, fabrics, or floors. Mix the contents thoroughly before use.

Thoroughly mix the product until a uniform consistency is achieved. When using multiple containers, it is recommended to combine all contents prior to application to avoid variations in color or texture.

This product can be applied using two main techniques:

Round Brush or Sponge Application
Apply the product using soft tapping motions, without dragging the tool across the surface, intentionally leaving some areas partially uncovered. Allow to dry, then apply a second coat to fill in the remaining spaces and enhance depth.

Roller Application
Apply using a roller in an irregular zigzag motion, varying the direction to achieve a more organic, oxidized appearance.
